Opening Keynote:Julie Winkle Giulioni
Julie Winkle Giulioni has spent the past 25 years improving performance through learning. She’s partnered with hundreds of organizations to develop and deploy innovative training products that are in use worldwide. Julie is well known and well regarded for her creative, one-of-a-kind solutions that consistently deliver bottom-line results.
As co-founder and principal of DesignArounds, Julie leads multi-disciplinary teams that create award-winning electronic and instructor-led training. She is an author and respected speaker on a variety of topics, including performance improvement, leadership, sales, and customer service.
Previously Julie was the director of product development for AchieveGlobal, one of the world’s largest commercial training and development companies. She has also held training management positions in financial services and retail organizations, taught marketing at the secondary and post-secondary level, and served as a department chair at Woodbury University.

Lunch Keynote: Louise Welch
Louise Welch joined Capital One in 2017 to lead the Tech Learning & Development and Tech College teams and establish a world-class learning center for cutting edge technology training. At the end of last year, she stepped into the role to lead Enterprise Learning and integrate Tech College and L&D together. Her team focuses on company-wide curriculum, learning experience design, learning systems, development programs, and specialty colleges and academies.
Previously, Louise was at Google for 14 years in a variety of HR and Learning roles. She was most recently Head of Global Talent Management where she was responsible for company-wide talent management, including talent planning, mobility and technology. Prior to that role, she was the Head of Global Learning and Development Systems, where she launched Google’s internal career development platform and many other internal systems. As head of Career Development, she was also responsible for launching a global engagement branding and marketing campaign and designed innovative internal career coaching and development programs.
Louise has 3 daughters and just recently moved with her family from Portola Valley, CA to Richmond, VA – her hometown!
